Iron magnesite has a background of deep sea blue with swirls and stripes of dark green, mustard gold, and darker earth tones. It puts one in mind of documentaries about deep sea habitats and the like. The flat teardrop pendant measures about 1-3/4" by a bit less than 1-1/2". The coin-shaped beads are are about 7/8" in diameter.I've added ovals and roundels of chalk turquoise, and seed beads of mustard gold, along with accents of antiqued silver-coloured pewter to make a strand about 18" long. While the deep-ocean colours are perfect for summer, it can certainly be worn successfully year-round. It's another necklace for all seasons from SPARKLE PLENTY.
