These lightweight, large earrings are just the thing for today's fashions. They're made of lightweight coconut shell, and are a generous 50mm (about 2") in diameter. With the addition of the large amethyst faceted glass bead, they dangle about 3-1/4" from their vermeil (24kt gold over sterling silver) post findings to the bottom of the hibiscus. While the back of the flower is curved and perfectly smooth for comfortable wearing, the front has been carved into stylised petals, and painted in shades of violet, tangerine, coral and sunset gold. A lady could be up to her hips in snow and still feel herself in the tropics wearing earrings such as these!
