The porcelain face on the pendant began life in the 1930s as the embellishment on a table lamp. The lamp -- alas -- is no more, but I was able to rescue the face and secured it to this whimsical pressed brass disc, with its three smaller disc dangles and matching bail. The strand consists of four ceramic beads that match the goldenrod colour of the pendant perfectly; Czech jet black glass beads; and beautifully swirled buttercup yellow onyx beads. The larger beads are flanked with lacey gold plate bead caps and spaced with tiny jet black seed beads. The 17" strand closes with an ornate old gold tone pewter hook set.
