The orangish tubes are camel bone that came from India in the 1930s. I am assured the camels in question died peacefully in their sleep, of natural causes, surrounded by their loved ones. That is to say, the critters weren't slaughtered to make the beads; rather, the demise of the camels offered someone the opportunity to make use of the bones. The tubes are about 5/8" long by 1/4" in diameter. I've spaced them with 4mm round turquoise beads, and added a silver tone toggle and garibaldi fish charm. The bracelet measures about 8-3/4", with resizing available. It's another smashing design from SPARKLE PLENTY.All of our one of a kind and limited edition artisan beaded jewelry is individually handcrafted in our studio in Los Angeles, California.
