The colours in the fabric simply scream French country chic: sunshine gold, sapphire, ruby and plum, teal and grass green. I've added glitz by way of some glass round flatbacks in various colours and pale apricot coloured teardrops, all of which were manufactured in Czechoslovakia in the 1950s. They were made to be sewn on, so I did -- with stitches of iron, I assure you -- using sapphire and golden glass seed beads. And then I took the bedizened beauty and fashioned it into a purse: fully lined in sapphire blue, with a pocket on either side; with a magnetic snap closure; with 7" diameter bamboo handles; and with a whole TON of class.
