My late grandmother brought the hand-hammered tin purse back from the sooks of Casablanca.It has a fabulous pewter-like patina that makes it look like it's a great deal older than it is.Inside, the purse is lined with purple velour.The hinge and latch are miracles of intricacy ... which, perhaps, makes up for the latch being a bit tricky to work.I've suspended this beauty from a 28" strand of spring jasper: a stone that is as interesting as it is pretty, with its dabs of pale green and pinky-tan against a grey background.The strand closes with an ornate pewter hook set.It's as beautiful as it is different.
