The intensely cobalt blue beads in this necklace are all individually made, so no two are exactly alike. In addition to their deep, mysterious colour, each has been wrapped with copper wire, then the wire has been burnt away, leaving a shimmering coppery trail permanently bonded to the surface of the bead. The long tapered rectangles are about 1-3/4? in length; the triangles are each about ??. The strand measures approximately 18", with the centrepiece dropping 1-1/2". In addition to the lampwork beads, I've used copper findings and sparkling copper glass seed beads. As bright and colourful as it is original, this piece is certain to get the wearer noticed.
