This is the last of three similar beads my late grandmother brought back from her rambles through the sooks of Marrakesh nearly 20 years ago.I think the metal is tin or a tin alloy, but the decoration -- all hand done, mind you -- makes it look like something infinitely more precious.It's studded with coral, aventurine and golden jade, so I've added a fringe and strand featuring beads to match, plus some exceedingly cool faceted pewter beads.The strand is about 16" long, and closes with a twisty pewter hook set.The pendant and fringe fall 3-1/2?.Colourful and cheery, it's just right for summer -- and will chase away any grey days that come this winter, too!
