Pagoda beads are one of the items Swarovski crystal gave up making about 50 years ago because they were so difficult and expensive to manufacture.

I've managed not only to put together enough of them to make a nice long necklace and a pair of earrings, but to graduate the sizes as well; trust me, this is an accomplishment!

Swarovski calls this colour 'volano,' and it flashes blues, golds and burgundies.

Due to the linear cut of the beads, in this instance they look striped.

The necklace is about 18" long, and closes with a sterling silver heart-shaped toggle clasp.

The matching earrings dangle a dainty 1-3/8" from the tops of their sterling silver French hooks.
