Once again, I've used a needleweaving technique to embellish a 5-5/8" pewter shepherd's crook bookmark. This time both sides of the lead- and antimony-free pewter piece feature images of Celtic knots and dragons. I've chosen to add a banner featuring a fire-breathing dragon (based on a pattern by Jane Davis) worked in peyote stitch. Please note that in peyote stitch, each teeny-tiny bead is sewn into place one at a time: a painstaking and time-consuming operation.Here's a great gift idea for that hard-to-buy-for person on your gift list, or for the person who has everything .... except a hand-beaded bookmark to keep a place in Terry Pratchett's 'Guards!
