There's a touch of Scandinavian design in the geometric shapes in these earrings.
The dalmatian jasper was carved in chevron and triangle geometric shapes whose straight lines look a bit Danish modern.
Dalmatian jasper is more than just a spotted stone.
In addition to the black dots that give it its name, it has swirls and dabs of gold and tiny speckles of brown against its tan/grey background.
Its fascinating mottling lends itself to geometric shapes.
In this unusual pair of earrings, I've suspended a flat chevron above a flat triangle, and suspended both geometric shapes from gunmetal earring findings.
The finished pair of geometric shapes dangle about 2" from the tops of their French hooks.
PLEASE NOTE: although gunmetal findings co-ordinate with the black in the stone, they do contain nickel, which can irritate sensitive skin; if you have concerns, please let me know, and I'll change the findings to sterling silver at no extra cost.
