Ruby Swarovski Crystal 4mm bicones are woven together with amethyst glass pearls to make my version of the design on the cover of Takako Samejima's excellent book, 'Bead Fantasies.' The original design didn't include the glass pearls, nor the vintage 3mm and 5mm light amethyst crystal rose montees I've used. I've added gorgeous old rose glass seed beads and a sterling silver hook set to make a strand approximately 19" long. I'm always grateful to designers whose creations spark my imagination; in this case, the design is essentially a duplication of Ms. Samejima's, and I'll give her all the credit along with my thanks for her collaboration with SPARKLE PLENTY.
