Silver thread, sequins and sparkly glass seed beads show to advantage against rich amethyst fabric.The cover up is an asymmetric poncho which drapes gracefully whether it's worn off the shoulder or as a boat neck.The shorter side measures about 24" from neckline to hemline.The longer side (it's actually two sides) measures about 37" from neckline to bottom corner.I've embroidered it with silver thread and seed beads, and embellished it with small silver fan-shaped and large leaf-shaped silver sequins.The embroidery, sequins and beads swirl in random patterns across the neckline and all the way down the short side.I've balanced this out with small garlands at the top and bottom of the long side.
