Both the knife and the fork in this hostess set are about 5" long. They're made of high quality silver plate, to which I've added contrasting gold-washed mottled green acrylic beads that bear a striking resemblance to stone. The beads were made in West Germany in the 1960s, at a time and place that acrylic bead-making had reached its zenith.The knife is perfect for spreading soft cheese or dip onto crackers. The matching fork could be used to serve pickles or olives.
