Look at the centrepiece from the corner of your eye; doesn't it rememble a stylized bird? I thought so, hence the necklace's name. The sterling silver focal piece is about 2-1/2" wide, and jointed in the centre. There are five smokey quartz teardrop pendants -- each hand-faceted in a beautiful spiral shape -- suspended from the focal. The not-quite-18" strand is made up of pretty bronze-coloured glass seed beads, plus hand-faceted smokey quartz beads. The necklace closes with a sterling silver safety clasp.
