The pendant is made of a smooth black obsidian doughnut-shaped bead, whose sterling silver bail is in the shape of a wolf head -- very dramatic. The doughnut (called a "pi bead") is about 1-1/8" in diameter; with the bail, the pendant dangles about 1-1/2" below the strand. I've used deep green seed beads in the strand, as well as 8mm matte obsidian and 4mm blackstone beads, and Indonesian sterling silver barrel beads. The entire strand is about 18-1/2" long and closes with a pewter hook set. For those who appreciate the beauty and the majesty of these most misunderstood creatures, here's a lovely mascot necklace!
