The Japanese seed beads are pale lavender with a silvery, iridescent, near-metallic sheen to them that makes them shimmer and shine. As beautiful as they are, they play second fiddle to the oval double-drilled glass beads and crystal pendants. Both are vintage West German stock, probably from the late 1940s. The drops are machine-cut, measure 16mm long by 12mm wide, and show all the precision for which West German crystal is (justifiably) famous. The smaller (8 x 6mm) double-drilled beads are pressed glass and have a brilliant aurora boreale coating. At just shy of 18" long, the necklace is made to be worn with maximum comfort, while garnering the maximum number of compliments. Neither scans nor photograph do this delicate beauty justice. Naturally, it's from SPARKLE PLENTY. All of our one of a kind and limited edition artisan beaded jewelry is individually handcrafted in our studio in Los Angeles, California.
