The gorgous peacock blue pressed glass cabochon is vintage Czech glass, and features a swirled feather design. Both the design and the colour were very popular in the art nouveau era, although this piece dates from much later -- probably the 1930s. I've set the cab in a matte gold tone finding whose curlicues are also reminiscent of art nouveau design. The finished pendant measures 1-3/4" by 1-1/2", and dangles from a 16-1/2" strand of peacock blue and aqua Czech firepolish crystal, gold tone accents and midnight iris seed beads. It's another fabulous period piece from SPARKLE PLENTY. All of our one of a kind and limited edition artisan beaded jewelry is individually handcrafted in our studio in Los Angeles, California.
