The black oval cabochon may be onyx, though my supplier wasn't certain; she does know that the mountain ram that stands proud of the cab's highly polished surface is sterling silver. I've bonded the cabochon to a pewter finding and added an Indonesian sterling silver bead to make a pendant that drops nearly 2-1/2" below the strand. The 18" strand features more Indonesian sterling silver beads, plus 8mm jet black Czech glass round beads, tiny faceted silver plate seed beads, and jet black spiral cut Czech fully-leaded crystal ovals. The clasp is a sterling silver "S" hook set. A beautiful necklace for anyone, this would also be a great gift for someone born under the sign of Aries.
