Carved Vintage Japanese Glass Fringed Pendant Necklace
The oval in the center of the pendant looks like intricately carved lavender jade.
Even on close inspection it's difficult to tell that it's really molded glass, made in Japan in the late 1940s.
It's surrounded with an embroidery of tiny freshwater pearls, and golden and lavender seed beads; and further bedizened with a graduated fringe with vintage glass teardrops that are also dead ringers for lavender jade.
The 16" strand features matching seed beads, and closes with a vintage gold plate floral catch, set with a tiny faux pearl.
It's absolutely exquisite, and it's absolutely from SPARKLE PLENTY.
