The Prints and the Paw-Pers: Hand Beaded Pewter Bookmark
Dogs may be man's best friend, but they hold an amazingly special place in the hearts of women, too.
I know whereof I type.
This bookish homage to all things 'barkly' features a Cheyenne-stitch brown and tan spaniel-type with a big round nose and curling pink tongue.
He is made from a pattern found in Barbara Elbe's excellent book, 'Beaded Images II.'
Mr. Barker has two pewter charm companions, one of whom is jointed so that his tail wags and his head shakes.
The gorgeous pewter shepherds' crook bookmark has been cast from lead- and antimony-free pewter, and features images of dogs -- in their infinite variety -- on either side.
The pewter piece is about 5-5/8" long.
Here's a great gift idea for that hard-to-buy-for person on your gift list, or for the dog-lover who has everything .... except a hand-beaded bookmark to keep a place in a favourite book of dog-geral.
It's another thoughtful gift from SPARKLE PLENTY.
